On the electric night of August 19th, London’s vibrant music scene was set ablaze by the exhilarating performance of W24 at The Garage. As a dedicated K-pop enthusiast, I had the immense pleasure of attending the concert and witnessing firsthand the sheer power and talent that W24 brings to the stage. Allow me to share my experience and insights from this memorable event.
W24, a band known for their pop-rock infused sound and high-octane performances, took the stage with an energy that was nothing short of electrifying. As Davide K-Pop, I am no stranger to the mesmerising world of Korean music, but W24’s rock-driven style brought a refreshing and invigorating twist to the scene. They channeled their energy into delivering a raw and unfiltered musical experience that resonated deeply with the audience.

Ho Won, the lead singer, immediately showcased his remarkable talent with powerful, precise vocals that held the audience captive. His commanding stage presence drew us into each song, channeling raw emotion and intensity that left us entranced, together with Jong Gil, the talented drummer, and Yun Soo, the amazing guitarist. Jong Gil’s rhythmic mastery added infectious energy, while Yun Soo’s mesmerising guitar solos were a highlight of the performance. Together, their synergy created an unforgettable musical experience that resonated throughout the venue.
W24 treated the audience to an unexpected cover of Lenny Kravitz’s “Are You Gonna Go My Way.” Their unique interpretation of the classic rock track demonstrated their ability to infuse their own style while paying homage to their influences. This unexpected twist further exemplified W24’s commitment to pushing creative boundaries.
Amidst the sonic spectacle, I had the opportunity to sit down with the members of W24 for a brief interview. Here’s a glimpse into our conversation:
Davide: Hi guys, I’m Davide from Davide K-pop, thank you so much for delivering such an amazing performance in London the other night, it felt incredible. How are you guys feeling? The trip to the UK must have been an exciting adventure. Could you share some insights into your experiences, both on and off stage, during your time in the UK?
W24: The UK tour was definitely an amazing tour. We had so much fun everywhere we went to. I think we are able to say that this tour has helped us grow a lot internally and also externally. During the concerts it was so much fun to be able to connect so much and hear our fans sing to our songs. We’ve now been in the UK for three times and I think this time was the best ever. Also, we were able to celebrate Jong Gil’s birthday in Bristol. We went museums, visited amazing places and enjoyed really good food. Thank you so much UK!
Davide: Your journey so far has showcased your versatility and growth. Can you talk about how your experiences in the UK might influence your future musical direction and creative projects?
W24: We once again were able to reassure ourselves that the music we make and do is good. We are definitely going to keep on making our music our way, with our style. We also hope you like our upcoming single “Voyager”.
Davide: How do you maintain a strong connection with your fans, and how has their support influenced your journey as an artist?
W24: We try to communicate a lot with our fans through various apps and cafes. We think that showing interest to our fans especially our international fans is very important. Thanks to our fans we were able to enjoy these tours around the world. We love them very much.
Davide: The chemistry among the group members is evident on and off the stage. Could you share some fun and memorable moments you’ve had as a group?
W24: We’ve been now living together for 7 years and it has been great and also chaotic. We’ve been to many trips together but especially when we went to PyeongChang here in Korea was an amazing trip. It was lots of fun to eat and go out and have fun together.
Davide: Fans are always curious about what’s next. Can you give us a sneak peek into what fans can expect from W24 in the near future? Are any exciting plans or projects on the horizon?
W24: Our next single album is coming out this September 4th! It is called Voyager and we really hope you like our rock sound. We are also looking for the Latin American tour next month!
Davide: Thank you so much for this little chat, I hope to see you guys again soon and please have a good rest after this tour. We will look forward to hear the new single VOYAGER on September 4th!
W24’s concert was a testament to the unifying power of music. Their explosive performance, coupled with their genuine passion for their craft, created an electric atmosphere that resonated deeply with everyone in attendance.
I was fortunate to be part of this incredible experience, and I eagerly await W24’s triumphant return with “Voyager” in September, ready to embark on a new musical adventure with them.
