On the evening of October 15th, South Korean sensation Luminous lit up London with an extraordinary concert. The night began with a fan sign event where Youngbin, Suil, Steven, & Woobin took time to sign autographs and chat with their fans, making for a memorable start to the evening. They also delighted the audience by taking pictures and selfies.
Once the concert began, it was clear that Luminous was here to impress. The four talented performers showcased their incredible dance moves and treated the crowd to their hit songs. The energy in the venue was infectious, with LUMINI dancing and singing along.
After the concert, we had a chance to sit down with Luminous for an exclusive interview:
Davide: How are you guys doing? How’s your 2nd Europe Tour WONDER LAND going?
Steven: This is our second tour and our first time in London! Before coming we were very nervous because the first attempt was cancelled and we were worried the fans would be disappointed by that… but after this evening we felt very welcomed and we are having a lot of fun so far! And every time we think like “I feel a little tired” we get all the energy back from the fans and we are loving it here, you fans are amazing!
Davide: Can you share some highlights from the tour? What’s been your favourite memory so far? And is there anything are you looking forward to for the next stops?
Suil:
When things feel hard, we gain so much strength from our Lumini fans around the world. So now that we have just finished a concert, we’re a little bit tired, and we can’t wait to travel to another country, see our fans and feel re-energised.
Steven: and also like I said during the concert, London feels like a second home for me, after Korea and Australia maybe because the first time I came to London it felt very similar to Australia. So I feel like I’m at home, very comfortable right now, thank you London!
Davide: London is such a vibrant and diverse city. Have you had the chance to explore it, and is there anything in particular that has stood out to you about this place? I can recommend some if you are interested…
Steven: I really would like to see the Big Bang and the architecture, the funny thing is that one of my dreams was to become an architect and would be amazing to see in person all the architecture in London.
Youngbin: We also would love to see the Royal Guards.
Woobin: I’d love to see British Artists in concert!
Davide: Among all the songs in your repertoire, which one is your favourite to perform live, and why?
Steven: for me, when I sing this song I always feel emotional, HOME ALONE, it’s something that just hits me and puts a smile on my face, I love performing it.
Youngbin:
As time goes by, I have made a habit of using minimum energy / conserving my energy, So I was trying not to move too much.
When we perform Upside Down, the synergy between myself, the members and Lumini makes me feel like I can use my maximum power. So recently, Upside Down has been my favourite.
Suil: I like Dreaming Luminous. It’s always been one of my favourite songs, and also we get to see our fans’ faces really well while we perform it. Our fans seem to really love the song, and there are times when we see them cry from happiness – those become precious memories. The idea that I could give another person so much joy – as an idol and as an artist, motivates me to do better.
Woobin: To be honest, I haven’t done a live performance yet, but I would love to perform Hologram. I think it would be really fun.

Davide: LUMINOUS, as a group, exudes incredible chemistry. What do you think is the key to your strong bond, both on and off the stage?
Steven: what I think it’s because us four, even before pre-debut, we went through a hard time together and that kinda bond together, becoming stronger together, even during Covid and everything, we tend to find each other and L punch up into a group and go through together in hard times.
Youngbin: I agree, because for us it’s been 4, 5 years? I do think there would be groups that, even after 4/5 years, don’t get closer. However, our members have grown to think of each other and cater to each other. At first, we fought and clashed. But now, we each have our own “area” to protect and together, I think we will continue to grow closer.
Davide: Beyond music, do you have any hobbies or interests that help you unwind and relax during your downtime?
Woobin: Basketball for me!
Suil: I like walking down paths I have never been before. I also find that showers/baths really help with stress. I like listening to music when I shower.
Steven: for me, it’s a bit different, sometimes those types of hobbies don’t help me relax. what helps is sleeping, I love sleeping! Games as well or even going on long drives with my friends or even alone. And last but not least listening to hip-hop!
Youngbin: I like gaming and being alone. Even if I’m not doing anything, just being on my own is my hobby. And games.
Davide: what type of video games do you play?
Group: we all play League of Legends!!
Davide: of course! I usually play on Switch or PlayStation. I also play Pokémon Go, do you guys as well?
Steven: back then but not anymore.
Davide: What’s the first thing you plan to do after tonight’s concert here in London? Any post-show traditions or celebrations?
Youngbin: Preparing to leave tomorrow (laughs). There is another show/concert tomorrow, in Greece. We need to wash up and sleep. If there is some time, we will look around the area, take photos, and then sleep.
Steven: we will get back and get some sleep for the next city. But if we had a little time we would go out and take some photos!
Davide: LUMINOUS, you have a passionate and dedicated fan base. Is there a message you’d like to convey to your fans who have been supporting you throughout your journey?
Suil: To our London Lumini fans… we were feeling very sorry we couldn’t make it last time… but they welcomed us so warmly and we are so thankful, so much so that next time we want to repay by preparing a bigger event next time. We will try to return as soon as possible!
Woobin: I was also very touched by how London Lumini greeted us. We want to return soon with an even better song and stage.
Steven: for me, it’s every time I feel a little tired after the show or feel like giving up, I think it’s always Lumini’s love and support that keeps me going and stopping me from giving up and keep going and doing my usual stuff.
Youngbin: I think the other members said it all. London Lumini, we love you!
Davide: Can you give us any hints or sneak peeks about upcoming new work, albums, or songs that fans can look forward to?
Steven: we are all individually trying to prepare new music, other than we are working on our schedule for the European tour and other countries. We are also planning to have more schedules in Korea as well, to connect to Lumini all around the world and Korea!
Davide: during your show here in London you Suil performed a new song called “Everyone Hates Me”, are you planning to release it soon or is it just for the tour?
Suil: We are thinking about it… if Lumini fans love the song, we might release it. Not sure when, but if Lumini loves it, then definitely yes.
Steven: If fans love it, then we can do it!
Davide: Yes, absolutely! The song was amazing!
Davide: Collaborations often bring a unique flavour to the K-pop industry. What would be your dream collab? Are there any artists or groups (within or outside K-pop) you’d love to collaborate with in the future?
Youngbin: I used to have a lot of thoughts/ideas about this. However, I think there are so many things yet to be explored within Luminous. For now, I’m not thinking so much about collaborations. Instead, I want to keep exploring new sounds and colours with the Luminous members.
Steven: as Youngbin said, we are still finding our colours and group image but it would be pretty cool if one day we could do a collab with Post Malone and do some R&B songs.
Davide: Thank you, LUMINOUS, for taking the time to answer these questions. Your energy and talent are truly remarkable, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.
