RIIZE’s “RIIZING DAY” Finale: Concert Review

After concluding their Asia and North America Fan-Con Tour “RIIZING DAY,” RIIZE brought their grand finale to the KSPO DOME arena in Seoul. The show was live-streamed worldwide, allowing fans to experience the magic from anywhere. I was fortunate enough to attend the delayed global broadcast in London.

Having followed RIIZE since their debut last September, I have witnessed their rapid rise to stardom. I was in Seoul when the single debut album Get A Guitar came out and I remember going to the shop to get it. Not much of a jump in memory lane since they debuted just about a year ago, but watching their performance at the finale, I was blown away by their undeniable talent and stage presence. They completely owned the arena, proving why they deserve to be on such a grand stage.

For those who missed the live stream, don’t worry BRIIZE… I got you covered! The cinematic experience was just as unforgettable. As soon as I entered the cinema, I felt transported to Seoul. The large screen captured the energy of the crowd and the grandeur of the venue, creating a truly immersive experience.

It was remarkable to see a rookie group sell out one of Seoul’s largest arenas. Their popularity is a testament to their hard work and undeniable charisma.

The concert began with a captivating visual display of their latest single, “COMBO,” followed by a powerful performance of “Siren.” Dressed in stylish, gem-inspired motorcycle jackets, the members exuded confidence and energy.

Straight after they introduced themselves and expressed their gratitude to the fans for attending the show. The crowd erupted in cheers as RIIZE launched into “Love 119,” their energetic performance matching the enthusiasm of the audience.

One of my favourite songs, “Get A Guitar,” showcased RIIZE’s impressive dance skills and vocal abilities. The group’s choreography was sharp and synchronised, leaving the audience in awe.

“Honestly” followed, with the members performing a captivating dance routine in all-white outfits. They took turns to showcase their individual dance styles, demonstrating their versatility and talent.

The concert took a more playful turn with the “RIIZING DAY – Endgame” game, where the members were divided into two teams for a series of fun challenges. From a ball game to a speed-dressing competition, the members’ playful personalities shone through. They then closed the mini-game with a recreation of some of the dance challenge that they did perviously via their social media accounts.

Returning to the stage, RIIZE performed “Be My Next” with a stunning stage design featuring a bedroom, an American dining room, and a gym. Surprisingly, they also incorporated elements from the popular manga series “Naruto,” which added a nostalgic touch for many fans. Or at least me, since Naruto was one of my very first mange I ever read… Yes, I’m that old that I was reading Naruto month by month when it just came out.

The concert continued with “Lucky” and “Memories,” during which beautiful green confetti was launched into the audience. The energy reached a fever pitch during “Combo,” as fans in the cinema room danced and sang along.

One of the most visually stunning moments of the night was the performance of “Rising Sun,” where the members appeared to be floating in the air. The stage design and lighting created a truly magical atmosphere.

“Talk Saxy” was a clear fan favourite, with the crowd erupting in cheers and singing along. The members’ energetic performance and the audience’s enthusiasm created an unforgettable moment.

The concert concluded with an encore, starting with “Same Key.” The members rode around the arena in adorable animal cars, distributing gifts to the fans.
Sungchan’s birthday was also celebrated with a special cake and heartfelt messages from the members to the fans.

The final song, “One Kiss,” was a poignant end to the concert. The members were visibly moved by the fans’ unwavering support, and the emotional performance brought tears to many eyes.

While this was not my first K-pop concert in a cinema, it felt extra special. The live-streaming format and the energy of the audience created a unique and immersive experience. RIIZE delivered an unforgettable performance, and I eagerly await their return to London for a world tour.

I would like to thank SM Entertainment and Outside Org for inviting me to this incredible event. It was a truly memorable experience.
