Concert Review: THE BOYZ Steal the Show in London

THE BOYZ, the talented group from South Korea, took the stage at the OVO Wembley Arena for their ZENERATION II World Tour 2024.

If you are new to the group, they are an 11-member K-pop group consisting of Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Haknyeon, Sunwoo, and Eric. This was their second time performing in London, with Eric’s last visit being in 2019. He expressed his excitement about returning after such a long time.

While I was a little disappointed that some of my favourite songs like “ROAR” and “Whisper” weren’t included in the setlist, I understand that it’s impossible to please everyone. However, THE BOYZ dominated the stage with their powerful vocals and energetic dance performances.

As soon as I entered the arena, I could feel the excitement and love from the fans in the air. A few fans spotted me in the audience, which made my day. I hope you had a fantastic show!

But enough about me, let’s talk about THE BOYZ! The stage was massive and ready for the group. The show started promptly at 8 o’clock, which I appreciate, as K-pop concerts can sometimes run late.

For the first three songs, I was lucky enough to be up close and take some photos. I was running around to capture every moment, and THE BOYZ started with a bang! They opened with “Diamond Life,” wearing stunning white outfits that complemented each other perfectly. Then, they performed “Out of Control” and the incredible “MAVERICK,” which was an absolute highlight.

After my photo opportunity, I had to move to my designated seating area and put away my camera.

ACT II began immediately with “TATTOO,” featuring a stylish, black outfit change. They followed with “Levitating,” showcasing their impressive dance skills. After this, they took a break to chat with the fans, introducing themselves and expressing their happiness about being back in London.

Next, they performed “Back All Black” and “Breaking Dawn,” both with incredible dance routines.

ACT III started with “Complete Me,” a fun stage with a beach theme and baggy streetwear. They then performed “Fantasize,” a wild and interactive set where they danced with the fans. One thing I noticed was their exceptional fan service. They went the extra mile to engage with the audience, which is why their fans love them so much.

They continued with “Right Here,” “THRILL RIDE,” and “D.D.D.,” all upbeat and energetic performances. For “D.D.D.,” they asked fans to dance in a fancam, which was super cute

ACT IV began with “Walkin’ in Time,” a ballad with soft spoken words and gentle movements. They followed with “Horizon,” another sweet ballad, and “Survive The Night,” an older song to please longtime fans. They closed this act with “Back 2 U” and “Hurt Me Less.”

But wait, there’s more! ACT V started with “BITE BACK,” a high-energy performance. They then performed “REVEAL,” “The Stealer,” and finally, “WATCH IT,” one of my favourite songs.

Before the encore, they performed “Nectar,” another fantastic song. Each member thanked the fans and expressed their love and gratitude. Jacob’s a cappella performance of “Yellow” was a standout moment. They closed with “Fire Eyes,” a celebration with the fans.

THE BOYZ’s European tour was a memorable experience for fans. Eric also hinted at a new comeback, so stay tuned for updates on their social media.

This concert was definitely a 5-star experience. The energy, performance, and fan interaction were exceptional. Well done, guys! I can’t wait to see you next time.
