BDU’s London Concert: A Showcase of Talent

B.D.U stopped by London for their anticipated World Tour “Wishpool: Flash & Light” on the 12th of September in London, and let me tell you something, they were here to let us know who they really are!

If you are new to the group, BDU debuted on June 26th, 2024, via Mnet’s project show, Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survivor. The group’s members are Bitsaeon from M.O.N.T, Seunghun from CIX, Jay Chang from One Pact, and the newcomer, Kim Minseo. Sadly, the group is only set to be active for two years.

Let’s now dive into the night. I’ll be honest with you; I wasn’t familiar with BDU, besides their debut song, and I was wondering why they were doing a world tour so soon. I am now glad they did it because these guys can deliver. It has been a long time since I witnessed a K-pop group so good at singing live. Don’t take me wrong; everyone is special in their own way, and B.D.U’s specialty is that each one of them is extremely talented singers. Standing ovation talented!

Let’s dive into the night, the group started with their song “Flower,” the perfect start to let the fans know who they are. Then they performed “Drowning” (WOODZ cover), for those who followed me before, you might remember that I covered WOODZ in London last year. Wow, this is when things got serious pretty quickly. They delivered an outstanding cover. I was amazed since this very moment. They then dived themselves into 2 mini groups to perform two duet songs, first “River” (Bishop Briggs cover) with Kim Minseo and Seunghun duet, then “Dangerously” (Charlie Puth cover) with Bitsaeon and Jay Chang duet.

After this, they played the “Guess The Word” game where they pinned some random words at the top of their head, to then guess what word was it asking questions to the fans. After a long round of questions, the guys guessed all the words. They mentioned it was the first time they managed to do that. It made the game in London extra special.

It was now the time for the solo covers where each member showed off their special and unique skills, first in line “Watermelon Sugar” (Harry Styles cover) performed by Bitsaeon, followed by “Naked” (Christopher cover) with Kim Minseo solo. Then it was Jay Chang’s turn with “Apologize” (OneRepublic cover) and Seunghun closed the solo acts with the outstanding “3D” (Jung Kook cover).

The group then reunited to sing “Teeth” (5 Seconds of Summer cover) bringing to the stage such a great energy! They then closed the show with their debut single “My One” and had their own encore with “aH‐OOh!”

Overall, this concert was amazing, and I’m so glad I’ve been able to attend. Thanks Studio Pav and Jin Entertainment for this opportunity.

BDU are phenomenal and extremely talented, if you don’t know them make sure to follow their journey as I wish them all the growth and love they deserve. BDU are set to hit the stage for 2 years only, but if fans love and support them, I think things might change. (this is just my personal opinion).

  1. Thank you for the review and the awesome photos. Just want to point out a mistake. Jay Chang is from One Pact not Turn 8
