BM from the K-pop group KARD finally made it to London for his first solo show, the BM: ATAP Special UK Concert, on February 4th, and let me tell you straight away: wow! BM delivered a performance to remember!

BM has been a busy bee lately. His first EP, Elements, dropped less than a year ago (I was lucky enough to snag an exclusive interview with him about it!). This was followed by his solo US tour, which now leads to this London show. He also managed to come back with KARD for their latest work and subsequent European tour. BM is definitely a hard worker, and we have to admire that! Well done; your hard work is definitely paying off.
The show was at The Steel Yard, and the club was packed. The energy from the fans was amazing! While waiting for him, everyone was dancing and vibing, getting into the mood!

The show kicked off with BM entering the stage wearing a gorgeous blue bomber jacket, sunglasses (I believe they were Gentle Monster), a cropped top vest, and baggy trousers. What stood out the most was his belt – a gorgeous design – and we could see his Balenciaga underwear logo peeking out… this look, with that little peekaboo, was absolutely nailed it, from head to toe (besides the shoes, which weren’t my vibe).
BM kicked off the show with a bang! He started with “Nectar” while dancing and singing, raising the bar very high, and we all knew we were in for a good time! His dance moves are so smooth; it was an incredible performance!
After the first few songs, BM took a moment to thank the fans for coming. He explained the rules of the night: 1. No phones allowed; 2. No bad vibes; and 3. Just enjoy the show by having a good time! Fans definitely took those three rules seriously; they were all cheering and vibing all night long!
The show continued, and BM delivered! He played songs from his repertoire, such as “Lowkey” and “Loyalty.” He also performed a medley tracks, including KARD’s “Itchy” and the “RSVP” remix (Koala). My favourite performance was “Badgirl Badboy” – I love this track; it’s my favourite song from BM’s Elements EP.
What stood out the most during the show was the freedom that BM had while performing in front of the audience. He let himself go and was a bit more sensual in his movements, with lots of hip dancing, let’s just say that! He also performed some dance moves reminiscent of professional male revue dancers. These moves are not easy, and BM definitely delivered!

Another highlight of the show was when he picked a lucky fan from the crowd for a special dance while she sat on a chair. Another fun moment was when three lucky fans were picked to go on stage for a little dance competition, with the audience choosing the winner. The lucky winner received some signed merchandise, and the three of them took a selfie together.
The show got spicier toward the end, with BM removing his vest for the last few songs. From beginning to end, BM kept the energy of the show very high, showcasing great rapping skills and amazing dance moves. It was an amazing show, especially seeing an artist expressing themselves the way they want to.
For some, it might have been a spicy show because of his dance moves and interactions. To me, it was a message of freedom, where BM could let himself go and express his artistry without being put in a box or labeled in any way.

I look forward to seeing more of his solo work and seeing him take bigger stages, with bigger productions and dancers. BM is a force to be reckoned with, and this won’t be the last time we witness a great performance!
Keep up the good work, Matthew, because it’s definitely paying off, and we’re all looking forward to more!
