TRENDZ are bringing their GLOW Tour to London‘s The Underworld Camden on the 4th of June, and we had the amazing opportunity to interview the group about their highly anticipated show. Before we dive into getting to know Havit, Leon, Yoonwoo, Hankook, ra.L, Eunil, and Yechan a little better, TRENDZ have a very special message for all the FRIENDZ in London.

Davide: Hello TRENDZ! I’m Davide. Thank you for taking the time to do this interview. How are you all doing today? Could you please introduce yourselves one by one to our readers? Including a fun fact or something unique about yourselves that FRIENDZ might not know yet.
Havit: I’m Havit! I read books really fast, and although I usually seem robotic, I’m actually quite emotional and tearful at times. I’m someone who doesn’t know the words “give up” or “blame.”
Leon: Hi, I’m Leon from TRENDZ. My MBTI is INFP, which I often describe as a “lazy perfectionist.” If I’m interested in something, I give my absolute best to perfect it, but if I’m not interested, I tend to give up completely. That’s why, as TRENDZ’s Leon, I always strive to be perfect.
Yoonwoo: I’m known for my sociability! I’m good at approaching people first, but when someone comes up to me, I’m even better at connecting with them. People often find that my warm personality is quite different from my cool first impression, so I think you’ll get to see many fun and unexpected sides of me!
Hankook: I’m Hankook, TRENDZ’s leader and rapper. I’m not the oldest member, but I take on the role of leader. So, I act as a friendly mediator between the older and younger members, like a friend who balances everyone’s opinions.
ra.L: Hello, I’m ra.L, rapper of TRENDZ. Composing music is both my hobby and special talent. I really love music, so I enjoy crafting my own musical taste and finding songs that match it. One unique thing about me is probably my ability to easily get along with others and fit in well with people!
Eunil: I’m Eunil, full of bright energy and charm! My strength is that I always do my best in everything I do. I hope you can feel my irresistible charm throughout this tour.
Yechan: Hi! I’m TRENDZ’s youngest member, Jeong Yechan. I’m confident that no one can have more fun than I do! That’s why, on stage, I feel responsible for keeping the energy and excitement high with my members and with FRIENDZ (our fans)!

Davide: TRENDZ is a unique name. What’s the story behind it, and how did the group form?
Hankook : TRENDZ means, “7 Gen Z boys will come together to lead the trend in the
future.” Members who have been practicing together for a long time and Yoon Woo-hyung, who joined at the end, have made their debut as TRENDZ.

Davide: The European GLOW tour is getting closer! What are you most excited about
experiencing during your time in Europe, and what kind of special moments are you hoping to share with your FRIENDZ?
Yoonwoo: The very fact that we can perform on stage for FRIENDZ brings us happiness and joy. What we look forward to the most at our performances is hearing the cheers from FRIENDZ. In that moment, we become one with FRIENDZ, and we want to share that incredible experience together.

Davide: The London show on June 4th is a key date for many FRIENDZ. Can you give us a little sneak peek into what fans can expect from your performance in London, and what makes it special to you?
ra.L: TRENDZ’s performances look great through videos and other media, but experiencing our performances live brings a whole new level of intensity. When you think of TRENDZ, certain songs come to mind, and of course, we’ve prepared those, but we also have special stages that we haven’t shown before—so please look forward to it! Personally, since it’s our first time visiting the UK, this performance feels even more special to us.

Davide: How did the concept for the ‘GLOW’ tour come about, and what message are you hoping to convey to your fans through these performances?
Hankook: ‘GLOW’ is also the title of our fourth single album. Through this performance, we aim to enjoy music with our fans and create shining memories together as we continue to grow.

Davide: Beyond the performances, what are you hoping to experience culturally during your time in Europe, and are there any cities you’re especially eager to explore?
Eunil: ‘Brighton!’ I’ve heard that the beach there is absolutely beautiful. I know it’s a resort city, and it’s a place I definitely want to visit someday!

Davide: Which are some of the artists who inspire you? They can be in or outside of K-pop.
Leon: I get a lot of inspiration from ATEEZ. I want to emulate their stage performances and the incredible energy they radiate.

Davide: If given the opportunity, which artist would you dream of collaborating with? The artist can be Korean or international.
Havit: ‘Ed Sheeran!’ I’ve listened to his music a lot and practiced with it ever since I dreamed of becoming a singer. He, along with Taylor Swift, introduced me to pop music, so collaborating with him someday would be an absolute dream come true.

Davide: Do you have any special hobbies or activities you enjoy in your spare time? What helps you unwind when you are not working?
Yechan: I’ve loved various sports since I was young. Soccer is one of my favourites, and I’m especially a big fan of the Premier League. I support Chelsea FC, based in London! Watching matches or playing games makes me happy, helps me relieve stress, and naturally eases my tension.

Davide: Do you have a special message for FRIENDZ?
Havit: You’ve been waiting for a long time, FRIENDZ! Since anywhere with FRIENDZ is a great place to be, I’m filled with happiness as we prepare for this performance. See you soon!
Leon: Thanks to FRIENDZ always supporting us, we can release new albums and step onto the stage. To repay your love and support, we’ll work even harder to show you our best.
Yoonwoo: Our first European tour was filled with so many happy memories, and I’m excited and looking forward to creating even more special ones this time. Let’s all meet in good health and have a wonderful time together!
Hankook: We’re working hard to prepare for this tour, and we have new performances that are different from what we’ve shown before, so please look forward to it and wait just a little longer!
