On Tuesday, April 22nd, GEMINI, together with DJ POOL, KWACA, and BLASÈ, closed his European tour, Miles Away, with a bang at the O2 Academy Islington in London! Besides KWACA, this was the second time seeing them live; they stopped by London in December 2023! And let me tell you guys, once again they showed how they can fire up a whole venue!

The four best friends are all under the record label AT AREA. Besides being friends, they are very talented artists, all in different ways. GEMINI is known for his K-R&B vibes, BLASÈ for his incredible rapping skills, DJ POOL for his amazing DJ set, and KWACA is an absolute god with his guitar. After this little intro of the artists, shall we dive into the night?

DJ POOL opened with an urban hip-hop vibes DJ set. He warmed up the whole vibe and really made such a difference. The fans were a bit quiet and shy, but DJ POOL made sure to tell them to make some noise while waiting for GEMINI.

KWACA was up next, while DJ POOL stayed at the DJ booth. First time seeing him, and damn, he was good! He sang and played the electric guitar – absolutely talented and amazing, a full-on artist. He opened his set with “Slo Motion” and “Captured.” He then expressed his excitement as it was his first time in London! He followed with “Mine!” and “Feels Like You.” For his final songs, he swapped to an acoustic guitar and played “4Life” sitting on a stool – opening with a nice melody, it was a beautiful ballad singing about love. His last song was “Like a Movie.”

KWACA left the stage, and it was now BLASÈ’s turn. He jumped on stage like a true rock star! Holding a bottle of booze – not my cup of tea, NGL – but it was definitely a vibe for some! He opened with “More,” “Loadin’,” and “Stupid,” followed by “Track Suit” and “Peace Out & Pop It,” for which he jumped down to the crowd to sing and cheer with them! Since I last saw him, I can definitely see growth as an artist. BLASÈ’s rapping skills and stage presence have improved a lot in these months. Well done to him! “12345678” was up next, followed by “Jet Lag” and “Mean.” He then performed “Turtle.” I was actually looking forward to this song; it has been on repeat since it came out. This song features the queen CHUNG HA herself! “Chosen 1” and “Take It Flip It” were performed straight after, and unfortunately, the set was then over with the last two songs, “Holiday” and “We Higher.”

Just time for a little break, and DJ POOL and KWACA made their comeback on stage in their positions – one at the DJ booth and the other on the electric guitar. And then the big entry: GEMINI showed up to kick off his show! GEMINI started with “Right Now” and “Ford.” He then took a moment to thank the fans for coming to his show. “Mon Amour,” “Up Late,” and “Body On Me” were up next, followed by fan favorites “MIA” and “Miles Away.” He then performed his latest single, “365” (the original song features the extra-talented singer and songwriter JUNNY). “Lock In,” “Cloud Nine,” and “Do Me Right” followed, then “Going & Know Me.” The energy was high the whole time; GEMINI has this hypnotic charm that makes having a good time easy! He then performed more hits such as “Broken Love,” “She Lives In Paris & Just The Two of Us,” followed by “UFO,” “Hola,” and “Inside Out.” GEMINI then played my favorite songs. It was about time since I had been waiting for them, and it was nice to experience them live again one after the other. Did he do that for me? Absolutely! LOL It was FINALLY the turn for “Bad,” “Love Is Banned,” and “Naked”! Absolutely loved this set! But it was now time for the last two songs, “Rollercoaster” and “Blue.”
It couldn’t finish just like this, right?! We then had the encore, where BLASÈ joined as well to perform the last few songs: “Trip,” “Attention,” “On Tour,” and “Run It Back.”

With that, the show and the whole tour were finished. You could see that the guys on stage were genuinely happy but also a little sad that this tour ended. However, I’m sure the cheers and love from the fans made them want to come back again soon with new material!

The show was good, and if you missed them this time around, make sure to keep an eye out for the next time! A little downside of the show: the lighting wasn’t that great. The stage was only half illuminated, and I think lighting is as important as the rest of the show, so maybe this is something to consider for next time! Overall, the show was amazing; all the artists were INCREDIBLY TALENTED. On GEMINI’s set, having not just DJ POOL but also KWACA on the guitar made the whole show even better! Well done, guys! I’ve been saying this for a while: K-pop shows are always amazing, but when a live band is involved, they elevate the whole experience. Look at ITZY or Stray Kids – absolutely amazing! This also applies to more indie or K-R&B artists. Performing and being accompanied by live instruments, like GEMINI just did with KWACA, made it even better! GEMINI’s charm and talent are incredible, and I can’t wait to see what he will bring next!
Thanks, AT AREA, for having me!
