Big Ocean stopped by London on the 24th of April for their Underwater European tour, and let me tell you something straight away: we were all in for a TREAT because the phenomenal trio ATE and left no crumbs!

If you are new to Big Ocean, you are sleeping on some amazing artists! Big Ocean is the first hard-of-hearing K-pop group, and they have been captivating fans around the world in this past year since they debuted in April 2024. We also had an interview with them in anticipation of the European tour; if you’d like to have a read before diving into the show review! One of the things that makes them most unique is the flawless way they incorporate sign language into their choreography – pure visual art.

Let’s now dive into the night! Big Ocean kicked off the show with BLOW, and from that very moment, we all knew that we were in for an amazing show! They are amazing performers, great dancers with such a cheerful stage presence.
After the first song, they thanked PADO, their official fandom name, and mentioned it was their first time in London. Jiseok wanted to eat a bagel in London, so he was very excited. Chanyeon went to visit Soho, since he remembered it from he visited London previously. PJ’s first time in London too, like the other members, and he was so happy to be here. Up next was brighT, followed by their hit GLOW.

They then took a moment to talk about their new album and the upcoming songs. They introduced the album by saying that its main message was to embrace emotions. Jiseok mentioned that he worked on the choreography for ATTENTION and contemplated a lot about how he would express emotions through that dance. After that, PJ talked about his solo song and how excited he was to perform it in front of everyone. With that little intro, they then performed their latest single, ATTENTION, which was amazing, and SINKING, the solo performance with PJ sitting on a stool, dancing and incorporating sign language into the moves. FADE OUT and Stay With Me were up next, and unfortunately, we were almost at the end of the show with END OF TIME.

They took a little break to thank the fans and to celebrate their first anniversary with all of us! PADO also prepared a little surprise moment, with all the fans holding a banner to celebrate their first anniversary. The surprises weren’t over! Big Ocean welcomed two lucky fans to the stage who were celebrating their birthdays that day! Big Ocean gifted the lucky fans with some signed cards/photos. I couldn’t see exactly what the gift was, but it was very, very sweet of them to do that! They then picked another two lucky fans to give out the other signed cards via a trivia questionnaire. And just like that, the show came to an end with SLOW.
Big Ocean are not just extremely talented but also very sweet and polite! They treated fans very kindly and respectfully, which made the whole experience even better! Make sure to stream their latest album, Underwater, and to follow their journey on social media. I can’t wait to see what they will bring next!
