The K-pop world is constantly shifting, and one dedicated group is BLITZERS. Since their debut on May 12, 2021, with their first EP Check-In, the members have been building a strong foundation, earning a passionate following of fans known as BLEE across the globe. Their musical journey has shown exciting growth, moving from a signature rock-inspired sound to displaying their range with versatile pop tracks.
What truly marked a major milestone for BLITZERS was their history-making appearance on Britain’s Got Talent (BGT). As the first K-pop idol group ever to be invited to audition for the show, their powerful performances on the UK stage brought them global visibility and proved their ambition to connect with audiences everywhere.
Now, that ambition is channeled into a brand new project. Members JUHAN, SYA, and WOOJU have formed the unit NPC, releasing the track “Creeper.” This is a significant moment for the members, as JUHAN, SYA, and WOOJU took the lead by writing and composing the song themselves, showcasing their commitment to growing as artists.
We recently had the chance to sit down with NPC to discuss this new chapter, dive into the creative process behind “Creeper,” and hear all about what’s coming next!
Davide: Hello, guys! I’m Davide, and thank you for taking the time for this interview. It’s been quite some time since we last spoke. How are you all doing? Can you please introduce yourselves one by one?
JUHAN: Hello, I’m BLITZERS JUHAN. I’m very happy to meet you again. 🙂
SYA: Hello, I’m SYA from NPC! I’ve been working hard writing lyrics and making
songs.
WOOJU: Hello, I’m WOOJU, greeting you as the BLITZERS unit NPC! I’m filling in my daily life by making music and coffee recently.
Davide: You’ve formed a new unit from BLITZERS called NPC. What does NPC stand for, and how did the formation of this unit come about?
JUHAN: ‘NPC’ stands for ‘noise pollution club’. It is called ‘noise’ in various areas of art, but it contains the desire to do our music. I started because WOOJU and I wanted to work on an interesting piece of music, and we asked Shah if he would join us.
Davide: Your new track is called ‘Creeper’. What was the inspiration behind it, and what message did you want to convey with this song?
JUHAN: The beat and melody of the current song harmonise well with the arcade sensibility, so I came up with the theme of “Creeper.” The lyrics are also organised to fit the theme well with the game elements. Rather than trying to convey a message, I hope people enjoy this song as if they are playing a game!
Davide: The song is so catchy—I really love it! JUHAN, SYA, and WOOJU, you did an amazing job writing and producing “Creeper.” What was the biggest challenge you faced during the creative process for this track?
JUHAN: The song ‘Creeper’ itself is a hip-hop song with the genre of hyper-pop. Making ‘Creeper’ itself was a big challenge because hyper-pop is an uncommon genre.
SYA: I think the genre itself was a challenge! I think the song itself is a challenge because it was approached in a new way.
WOOJU: Honestly, the biggest challenge was the release of the song. There wasn’t a difficult or difficult part in producing, but I think the hardest thing was whether we could release our song.
Davide: Since “Creeper” is your debut song as NPC, can we expect more music from the unit any time soon?
SYA: My goal is to keep performing good music, so I think I’ll be able to perform more songs if I promote with that goal.
Davide: What specific genre or concept would NPC like to explore next?
WOOJU: I started an unfamiliar genre this time, but if there is a next one, I think I will choose a genre that the public can relate to. Or I think I can come back with another unfamiliar genre.
Davide: What artists inspire you these days? And which artists would you love to collaborate with in the future?
SYA: There are a lot of inspired artists, but I think Post Malone and B.I. are the most influenced artists.
Davide: Since NPC is a unit of three members, could you each share three personal goals you have in life? These can be inside or outside the entertainment industry. I’ll make sure to check back on you when you achieve them!
JUHAN: When it comes to personal goals, I want to leave a wonderful impression as a person named ‘JUHAN’ for the rest of my life.
SYA: The ultimate goal is to be grateful for what you have and live happily.
WOOJU: My life goal is to do what I want to do and enjoy what I am doing.
Davide: Besides music, is there anything you’d like to explore artistically—like acting, modelling, or perhaps writing/producing for other artists?
WOOJU: In addition to music, I am also trying acting. If I want to do another art, I will try another art.
Davide: Thank you so much, NPC! It was a pleasure to talk with you. Congratulations again on this amazing new music! I look forward to seeing what’s coming next from you guys!
NCP: Thank you! We also had a great time to have an interview with David! See you again next time!
That’s all for today, make sure to follow BLITZERS and NCP journey and listen ‘Creeper’ and all your streaming platforms.
