Having witnessed NMIXX’s evolution from the sun-drenched stage of BST Hyde Park in London to the massive scale of Music Bank in Madrid, there was a palpable sense of “coming home” as they finally arrived for their own headline show in London. Following those festival appearances, the anticipation for NMIXX 1ST WORLD TOUR < EPISODE 1: ZERO FRONTIER > had reached a fever pitch, culminating in a spectacular sold-out night that proved London was more than ready for the full MIXX POP experience. This wasn’t just another stop on a tour; it felt like the definitive crowning moment for a group that has spent the last few years relentlessly proving their mettle on the global stage. And I must say, the comparison between the festival appearance and their own tour was outstanding; they have grown so much in these years, artistically speaking!
Since their debut, NMIXX—Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin—have built a reputation as the industry’s “all-rounders,” a title they earned through staggering vocal stability and a discography that refuses to play by the rules. Their signature sound intentionally collisions disparate genres, shifting from operatic pop to heavy hip-hop in the blink of an eye. While their previous UK and European appearances offered tantalising glimpses of this versatility, this headline show allowed the six-piece to dive deeper into their lore, showcasing the technical precision and charismatic stage presence that have made them a viral sensation. As the lights dimmed over the packed-out crowd, it was clear that the “Zero Frontier” era had officially claimed its territory in the heart of London.
The live band opened with an incredible instrumental interlude, after which NMIXX walked onto the stage, struck a pose, and kicked off the show with “O.O.” What an amazing way to start! Having seen the group twice before at different festivals, I had never been able to see them perform “O.O” in full, and this really felt like a standout moment. They set the bar very high with their energy. “Philly” was next in line, keeping that momentum going! The set continued with “Run for Roses,” proving beyond doubt that they were singing live. “Soñar (Breaker)” followed; they maintained such high energy and nailed the choreography to a tee. “DICE” closed out the first stage.
They introduced themselves by mentioning it was their first solo concert, each sharing their enthusiasm to be in London. It was a lovely, genuine interaction; you could really feel their excitement. The next stage kicked off with “See that?”, “BOOM,” and “DASH”—a perfect way to close what felt like the first act. The girls took a moment to rest backstage while the band played an interlude, followed immediately by a VCR.
They returned in navy-inspired uniforms, kicking off the new stage with “PAXXWORD,” followed by “Young, Dumb, Stupid.” This set felt more joyful and lighthearted compared to the previous one, showcasing NMIXX’s versatility. “Break the Wall” was up next, and the group warmed up the venue, making the fans feel even closer to them. They took a moment to thank the crowd, accompanied by the live band.
NMIXX then continued with “Shape of Love.” Following a quick costume change, they performed “High Horse” and “SPINNIN’ ON IT,” introduced by a very artistic choreographic sequence from some of the members. “KNOW ABOUT ME” and “Red light sign, but we go” were up next, bringing the energy back up again before leading into another short VCR.
The next set began with “Papillon” and another outfit change, followed by the “energy bomb” that is “Slingshot.” “Reality Hurts” and “TIC TIC” provided the perfect lead-in to the iconic “DICE.” NMIXX kept the energy high, smoothly transitioning into two more bangers, “TANK” and “Love Me Like This.” “Blue Valentine” was the perfect closer for the main set—sweet and beautiful, it felt like a serenade for NSWER.
A K-pop concert isn’t a K-pop concert without an encore. Just before the group returned, the fans had a little sing-along to “Blue Valentine,” which was a very sweet moment. After a short interlude clip, NMIXX continued with “BEAT BEAT” and “Funky Glitter Christmas.” Having a Christmas song in March was actually a fun and uplifting addition to the set! They then officially closed the show with “Moving On” and “ADORE U.”
NMIXX brought a show to London full of energy and incredible vocals. I was blown away by the growth of the group; they have clearly put in the work, and it shows. Especially for their first world tour, their excitement was evident in every fan interaction and every powerful performance.
