Prepare for an exclusive deep dive into the celestial tapestry of n.SSign’s universe as we bring you an in-depth interview, exploring the inspirations, aspirations, and unique stories that shape this rising constellation in the K-pop cosmos.

But before that, n.SSign wrote us a special greeting message for all COSMO around the world!

Davide: Hi n.SSign, my name is Davide from Davide K-pop, a platform that connects London with K- pop.
It’s very nice chatting with you all! How are you guys doing?
n.SSign: We’re doing well, and we’ve recently finished our follow-up song ‘Melody’ and are preparing for the concert at Ariake Arena on November 11 and November.

D: Congratulations on your debut! How does it feel to finally have your first album, “BIRTH OF COSMO,” out in the world?
n.SSign: It’s amazing that we’re able to share our hard-working album with Cosmo and show various sides of us in the album.

D: Could you tell us a bit about how each of you decided to pursue a career in K-pop and how you came together as a group?
HANJUN: I danced since I was young, so I naturally dreamed of becoming an idol. I practiced hard using BTS and EXO as my role models!
SUNGYUN: I thought about making money at a young age and being able to help my parents, but I thought it was an idol job. After practicing for several years like that, Happiness and joy have become a priority over money, so I think I am working as an idol until now.
ROBIN: My dream of becoming an idol began when I saw Stray Kids in Australia. My dream grew while watching many stage videos and music videos.
JUNHYEOK: When I listen to idol songs, the word “hope” comes to mind first and I want to be a person who gives hope to people.
HUIWON: I decided to become an idol because I couldn’t forget the feelings of that time after first performing on stage at the middle school festival.
EDDIE: I was originally a college student studying business administration, but I moved to online classes because of the coronavirus. As a result, I moved to Korea, which was much safer at the time than the U.S. went to a dance academy in my free time, passed auditions from various companies, and came to my current company. Since then, n.SSign has decided to become a permanent group and has the opportunity to become a member of n.SSign with the aim of entering the global market.
KAZUTA: BTS was so cool that I thought I wanted to be a person. I gave up right away because I didn’t have talent and couldn’t speak Korean, but looking at NCT’s Yuta, I thought I could try and become an artist.
LAURENCE: I started to like singing when I saw a music show. Since then, K-pop has become popular, so I watched a lot of videos, I really wanted to shine on stage, so I had a dream to become an idol.
DOHA: When I was a student, I dreamed of singing while singing in the band. Singer ‘Rain’ was so sexy and cool, so I thought I wanted to become a singer who dances and sings.

D: n.SSign has a unique name that seems to have a cosmic theme. What’s the story behind the group’s name, and how does it relate to your music and concept?
n.SSign: Our group name is n.SSign stands for a web of constellations in which each member represents a constellation of stars with individual characteristics and is connected as one to indicate that we are strongest when we come together.

D: As a global boy group, you have members from different backgrounds and countries. How has this diversity influenced your music and performances?
n.SSign: Our group has many foreign members, so we can communicate with our fans on a global level. For now, not only did we officially debut in Korea, but we are also able to perform and debut in Japan with our Japanese debut song, New Star.

D: “YOUTH STAR” was the show that brought n.SSign together. Can you share some memorable moments or challenges you faced during your journey on the show? HANJUN: I think BTS’s Boy In Luv performance is the most memorable. It was my first survival performance and the first performance that I led, so it was the most impressive!
SUNGYUN: SHINee’s Love Like Oxygen performance is the most memorable in YOUTH STAR. There were a lot of difficulties both vocal and dance, but I think we were able to create a good performance because we worked together to fill in each other’s shortcomings and always practiced with a smile.
JUNHYEOK: I remember the second stage, the Kick It of NCT127. I remember that one of my team members got COVID-19 just two days before the performance, and we all worked harder for that friend to survive.
HUIWON: Song ‘Dunk shot’ of LEESEUNGHWAN the first stage with Lawrence, and there was a time when it was very hard after I finished last in the midterm evaluation. However, I passed the first round by practicing hard without being frustrated. That was the most memorable.
KAZUTA: I think my first performance is 우리집 of 2PM. If I didn’t win first place, there wouldn’t be KAZUTA now.
LAURENCE: I think the first stage ‘Dunk shot’ of LEESEUMGHWAN was the most memorable. It wasn’t long since I came to Korea, so I couldn’t speak Korean, and everything was not used to it. But it’s a relief that HUIWON and I won and passed the first round!!
DOHA: SHINee’s Love Like Oxygen is the most memorable for me. The song was quite difficult to sing live. But since I overcome it is the most memorable.

D: Your debut single “Wormhole: New Track” from the album received a great response. Can you tell us about the concept and inspiration behind the song and music video?
n.SSign: Our debut song “Wormhole: New Track” is a different song from the songs in our album. This song is a darker and stronger song. It’s a different song from the previous songs.

D: Each of you has unique talents and qualities. Can you share something interesting or surprising about one of your fellow members that fans might not know?
HANJUN: DOHA is always thinking about how to help the team more.
SUNGYUN: HUIWON is a person who can give happiness to many people.
JUNHYEOK: LAURENCE is amazing that he can name any lens right away after looking into my eyes.
HUIWON: KAZUTA is good at portraying people. I think he’s good at catching people’s characteristics.
KAZUTA: ROBIN has a lot of charms to be loved by people.
ROBIN: I think SUNHYUN can be attractive to everyone with his soft and good voice and song.
LAURENCE: HUIWON helps me often and leads me to what I don’t know. I feel so relieved when HUIWON is with me.
DOHA: JUNHYEOK looks strong, but he’s also weak and cute.
EDDIE: LAURENCE is good at self-care. I know his limitations when it comes to eating and always goes on a diet.

D: K-pop is known for its incredible choreography. How do you prepare for your dance routines, and is there a particular dance move that was challenging but fun to master?
n.SSign: Our dance has a lot of complicated movements, so we practice every day in addition to the exercise and training we need to maintain our physical strength and tension on stage. One of the parts of our song was difficult, but it was fun to turn our arms in a quick circular movement.

D: If you could collaborate with any K-pop artist or group, who would it be, and why? n.SSign: There are so many artists and groups, but I think it would be an honour to be able to be on stage with BTS, who we’ve respected since we were trainees before our debut.

D: As a new K-pop group, what are your goals and aspirations for the future? Any upcoming projects or dreams you’d like to share with your fans?
n.SSign: Our goal is to perform for fans all over the world, and we want to communicate with fans through music and show them various aspects that they can enjoy. Now, we are working hard to prepare for the Ariake Arena Concert on November 11 and November 12.

D: Many fans love to learn more about your daily lives. Can you share a fun behind-the-scenes story from your training or recording sessions that made you all laugh or brought you closer as a group?
n.SSign: One special story is that it was late at night when we were preparing for our performance in the studio, and we were filming TVXQ’s Rising Sun video. In the beginning, we had to lie down in a circle, but EDDIE kept making mistakes, so the members and the choreographer kept telling EDDIE. Still, they must have been angry and frustrated with EDDIE’s mistakes, but they understood it with a smile of acting charming.

D: Your debut album, “BIRTH OF COSMO,” has a strong concept. Are there any particular themes or messages you hope your listeners take away from your music?
n.SSign: We hope all genres of fans will enjoy our music. We want to show them various sides that fans can enjoy. One message that fans want to take is that we are always connected as one. Through our music, we hope we can get closer to the fans as we feel for us, and furthermore, we want to be people who fans can rely on when they get lost or feel alone.

D: Do any of you have hidden talents or hobbies that fans might be surprised to discover?
HANJUN: SUNGYUN is an incredible tsundere.
SUNGYUN: ROBIN has amazing language skills.
JUNHYEOK: I feel that the members’ vocal mimicry has improved a lot these days. (SUNGYUN, HUIWON)
HUIWON: JUNHYEOK’s ventriloquism whistle is amazing. ROBIN – HUIWON has a hobby of reading books when he has time these days, so I want to read books, too. KAZUTA: HUIWON has amazing language skills. He can speak 3 languages Japanese, English, and Korean right now, but I think he can speak other languages!!!
LAURENCE: ROBIN is fun and funnier than we thought.
DOHA: I think my flexibility is the best. EDDIE – ROBIN can remember old choreography well.

D: Do you have any special message for any COSMO out there in the world?
n.SSign: We want to say thank you to COSMO all over the world, and thanks to your love and support, we were able to make music that we could enjoy together.

D: Finally, if you had to describe n.SSign’s music and style in three words, what would they be?
n.SSign: CUTE, CHARISMA, SEXY.

D: Thank you so much guys for taking the time to answer my questions, I look forward to seeing what’s coming next and please let me know if you ever come to London, I would love to meet you all!
