1VERSE: A Sold-Out London Debut That Proved Exactly Why They’re the Ones to Watch

The atmosphere outside The Garage on the 13th of April was absolutely buzzing. It’s one of those legendary, intimate London spots, and seeing it was a sold-out show that really stood out for me. For a group that hasn’t even been around for a full year, the energy from the fans—the 5TARZ—was next level.

If you’re just catching up, 1VERSE (pronounced “Universe”) burst onto the scene in July 2025 under Singing Beetle. They aren’t your typical, overly polished K-pop group; they’ve built their identity on being real. Their whole vibe, especially during this ‘Shattered’ era, is about raw storytelling and emotional honesty, often set to those heavy, “sexy drill” beats that have become their signature.

For this leg of the tour, we had a four-member lineup on stage: Seok, Aito, Nathan, and Kenny. While we missed having the full group, these four did an incredible job of filling the room. Their chemistry felt natural, and they really leaned into the intimate setting to connect with everyone in the crowd.

Since the guys are still fresh from their debut and only just dropped their latest track “WABIF” (Wide Awake Before I Fall) in January, the setlist was packed with covers. Honestly? It worked in their favour. Instead of it feeling like they were short on material, it felt like a curated showcase of what they can actually do. They tackled everything from vocal-heavy tracks to intense rap units, proving they have the talent to back up the hype.

The night kicked off with 1VERSE performing one of their title tracks, Shattered. The energy and confidence were incredible! As mentioned earlier, 1VERSE’s repertoire is currently quite small, but the group delivered an amazing selection of covers that highlighted their strengths both as a group and individually.

First up was IDOL (BTS cover), followed by God of Music (SEVENTEEN cover)—you can’t go wrong with those two iconic tracks! 1VERSE then took a moment for some introductions. They were so happy to see that the show was sold out, and every member expressed their excitement to be in London. From the beginning, you could see the guys making jokes and not taking things too seriously, which made them look even more endearing. Their social media presence is full of that personality, and it was so refreshing to see it in real life!

The set then continued with two SM songs: a cover of Get a Guitar (RIIZE), before taking a soft turn with the iconic and timeless Hug (TVXQ!). Fools (Troye Sivan cover) was up next, followed by another BTS cover, House of Cards, performed by the Seok & Aito unit.

Aito then took the stage on his own to perform probably one of my favourite songs ever, Drip Drop, by Taemin. Seok took the stage next, performing an iconic cover of Drowning by WOODZ. 1VERSE then took another moment to interact with the crowd and answer some fan Q&As, which was a very fun segment.

The show continued with all the members performing WABIF (Wide Awake Before I Fall), their new song! This led to the second unit, Kenny & Nathan, who performed I’m So Tired… (Lauv & Troye Sivan cover). Kenny continued the set with The A Team (Ed Sheeran cover), and Nathan followed with Babydoll (Dominic Fike cover).

The night was coming to an end, and what better way to close the show than with a bang? First in line was HALAZIA (ATEEZ cover), followed by LALALALA (Stray Kids cover), but the true star of the final stage was Guerrilla (ATEEZ cover), where fans really gave their all by singing along.

Although that was the end of the main set… we all know we still have the encore! After a quick wardrobe change, the group jumped back on stage to perform the viral Your Idol cover from Saja Boys and officially closed their show with their title track, Multiverse.

Overall, the show was full of energy and quality! Although 1VERSE might not have a big catalogue yet, the group delivered a sold-out show, serving great dance moves and a very unique charisma. I look forward to what they bring next—hopefully, we will have more original music very soon!
