The Final Curtain: TWICE Brought the ‘THIS IS FOR’ World Tour to a Triumphant Close in London

The atmosphere inside The O2 arena was electric, charged with the unique intensity that only comes from a final tour stop. As the lights dimmed for the second of their two-night London residency, there was a strong sense of history in the making—this evening, Thursday 4 June 2026, marked the grand finale of the European leg of TWICE’s monumental THIS IS FOR world tour.

Since kicking off their global trek last summer, the nine-member powerhouse—Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu—has redefined the modern concert experience. By utilising a breathtaking 360-degree stage design, they transformed arenas worldwide into immersive, intimate landscapes, ensuring that every fan, regardless of their vantage point, felt the pulse of the performance.

Coming off the massive success of their fourth full-length album, THIS IS FOR, and their recent high-profile contributions to the K-Pop: Demon Hunters soundtrack—including the chart-climbing single “TAKEDOWN”—the group arrived in London at the absolute peak of their decade-long career. Having already solidified their status as the best-selling girl group in K-Pop history, the show was not just a concert; it was a masterclass in artistic evolution, a celebration of their unique bond with their global fanbase, and a thrilling anticipation of their upcoming 10th-anniversary celebrations later this year.

As the final notes resonated through the arena, it was clear: TWICE didn’t just finish a tour—they left everything on that stage, but let’s now dive into the night!

As soon as I stepped into The O2, the atmosphere felt different from usual. A massive 360-degree stage sat in the middle of the arena with two extensions on either side. The show hadn’t even started, yet I knew immediately there wouldn’t be a bad seat in the house; everyone would get a closer view at some point, which was a very thoughtful touch right out of the gate. On top of that, the screens were unique; the entire stage floor was a screen, and the main stage featured multiple cubicle screens. As a spoiler, the production team did an amazing job throughout the performance, moving these screens up and down constantly to ensure every set felt distinct.

Another standout element before the show even began was the live band. You can’t have a JYP show without one—they always elevate the entire experience, as I recently noted in my coverage of ITZY and STRAY KIDS.

The lights went off, and the massive screen above the main stage began playing the intro video with the edgy opening “FOUR”. The crowd went wild, cheering so loudly for TWICE as they appeared on stage to kick off the show with “THIS IS FOR.” It was a high-energy performance featuring slick choreography and powerful vocals; they showed no signs of fatigue despite the previous night’s performance and the fact that this was their final show. The group continued with “Strategy,” where the live band made a massive difference compared to the studio version.

While “Strategy” was wrapping up, the stage began to shift, revealing floor sections that adjusted in height to create an incredibly dynamic look. In the blink of an eye, the dancers joined TWICE for “MAKE ME GO.” The girls then continued with two of my favourite songs, “SET ME FREE” and “I CAN’T STOP ME” (both Korean versions). The performance was high-energy, the stage remained in constant motion, and the band elevated the sound once again.

TWICE finally took a moment to catch their breath and chat with the fans. They introduced themselves, expressed their excitement about performing in London for a second night, and shared their bittersweet feelings regarding the final show of a tour that began last summer.

After the break, the girls continued with “OPTIONS.” The mood shifted completely; they sat down, and the cubicle screens from above descended, making the stage look like a sky bright with stars. The stage was so interactive that every song felt like a different show entirely—it was mind-blowing. They then wrapped up the first act with the iconic “MOONLIGHT SUNRISE.”

The second Act opened with a dance interlude that led into a beautiful space-themed video before the girls conquered the stage with “MARS,” rocking edgy leather outfits. The stage design was on another level—a 3D setup with various levels moving up and down. The group then continued with “I GOT YOU” and “The Feels,” bringing the energy back to a fever pitch.

TWICE took another moment to interact with the fans, asking if we were having fun, which led into the next song, “Gone.” The mood shifted again with some cool red lighting, great energy, and sharp choreography—their vocals were absolutely on point. They then moved into “CRY FOR ME,” which featured an insane routine that utilised the side stage. Back on the main stage, TWICE performed “HELL IN HEAVEN,” again showcasing that incredible 3D stage. “RIGHT HAND GIRL” closed the second act with a band interlude that truly set the arena on fire.

The third act highlighted the individual members with solo performances. While the tracks were shortened, the production for each was incredibly thoughtful—different outfits, lighting schemes, and even dancers’ costumes were perfectly coordinated to match each member’s stage.

First in line was “Run Away” by Tzuyu, which featured amazing choreography. “STONE COLD” by Mina followed, with a golden-dust vibe that was absolutely stunning. Nayeon followed with “MEEEEE,” then Jeongyeon with “FIX A DRINK”—I was blown away by her cowboy-inspired costume; she looked stunning. “CHESS” by Dahyun was up next; what can I say? She showcased her incredible piano skills. After that, “SHOOT” (Firecracker) by Chaeyoung was so cute, and Jihyo’s “ATM” had a fantastic, boss-lady vibe—I’m obsessed! Straight after, Sana performed “DECAFFEINATED,” which was very sweet, followed by Momo with “MOVE LIKE THAT” in a cool leopard-print theme. Although all the solo stages were shortened, they were unique and did a great job keeping the momentum going.

The solo segment couldn’t close without the viral “TAKEDOWN” (TWICE ver.) by Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung. Funnily enough, throughout the concert, they wore hairstyles inspired by the animated movie K-Pop: Demon Hunters. I clocked that pretty fast at the start of the show—it was such a cute detail, perfect for the final show of the tour.

TWICE reassembled for the fourth act, which opened with “FANCY,” followed by “What is Love?”—both were insane performances. We were nearing the end, and the girls still had so much energy, delivering perfection on stage. The group continued with “YES or YES,” interacting with fans around the stage in such a cute way. “Dance the Night Away” was next, and the group looked like they were having the time of their lives; it felt so genuine.

TWICE took one final moment to chat with the fans, and it was hilarious—the girls pointed out that Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung had the same hairstyles as the heroines from K-Pop: Demon Hunters. They even struck a pose like the characters—iconic! Unfortunately, we arrived at the final song, “ONE SPARK.” It was legendary, and the stage changed form once again, featuring fireworks on the screens. We all know a K-pop show isn’t complete without an encore, but first, there was a hilarious fan-cam interaction while fans freestyle-danced to TWICE’s music!

The encore kicked off with “Feel Special,” a fan favourite that couldn’t be missed, followed by a sweet interaction with the audience that led into the two final songs of the show: “TT” and the “TWICE Song.”

Just like that, the show was over. This was my first time seeing TWICE live, and I was blown away by their talent, charisma, and charm. The entire show was incredible—I have never seen anything like it. From the live band to the stage setup and the screens, every detail was beautifully crafted. It’s easy to see why fans have been so loyal over the years and why, even after so much time in the business, they can still sell out arenas and sustain a tour that lasted nearly a year. It was absolutely outstanding. If you have never seen TWICE live, go next time—you are missing out! You don’t even need to be a “TWICE stan”; the show is so entertaining that it will make you fall in love with them. That is the power of TWICE.

Before closing, let’s give Dahyun a massive shout-out! She had injured her ankle but still managed to deliver an incredible performance, giving her all even while sitting on a stool and performing the choreography with her upper body. Well done, Queen!

And, of course, well done to all the members and the staff. The THIS IS FOR World Tour will be remembered forever in K-pop history.
