I’m still trying to catch my breath after this incredible night. Since I had to sit out their previous London stop in 2024, watching XG live felt long overdue, and trust me—the wait was well and truly worth it.
On 2 September 2026, JURIN, CHISA, HINATA, HARVEY, JURIA, MAYA, and COCONA took over the OVO Arena Wembley for XG WORLD TOUR: THE CORE, turning the venue completely upside down. Ever since they blasted onto the scene in March 2022 with “Tippy Toes,” this seven-member powerhouse has rewritten the rulebook on global pop. From dominating Billboard charts to making waves on the festival circuit, they have spent the last few years proving that their “Xtraordinary Genes” slogan isn’t just clever branding—it is an absolute reality.
Catching them on this tour after missing them last time hit differently, and they brought an energy that completely blew me away. Let’s dive straight into how the night unfolded.
As soon as the lights went down, an amazing intro video started playing—an overview of a planet with a Star Wars-inspired soundtrack that felt straight out of a John Williams score. After that, the tour intro kicked off with “XIGNAL (The Intro),” and the visuals were truly out of this world. This led straight into XG rocking up on stage wearing black capes. One by one, they revealed themselves in extraordinary futuristic outfits complete with lights, making them look like they had just stepped straight out of a video game or a Marvel movie.
XG kicked off the show with “GALA,” and right from the first track, they showed off their amazing dance skills, incorporating voguing and ball-inspired movement. Even the stage setup was so cool, dominated by dark vibes and red lighting.
“SOMETHING AIN’T RIGHT” was up next, lighting up the stage and having everyone vibing and dancing.
XG then took a moment to introduce themselves and welcome the fans to the show. Straight after, they performed one of their signature songs—and low-key one of my favourites—”MASCARA.” Seeing it live made me love the track even more. And speaking of signature songs, “TGIF” was up next and was on another level; it was insane. The mood changed completely when “WOKE UP” started: they began singing with mic stands before transitioning into a very sharp, hard-hitting choreography.
We then had a brief break which led into a VCR video set on a futuristic spaceship, fitting the theme perfectly.
XG followed this with a quick outfit change into white outfits featuring massive zips, with a different accent colour for each member. This led straight into the uplifting and fun “UP NOW,” followed by “PUPPET SHOW.”
XG then performed the perfect mashup of “GRL GVNG & HOWLING,” followed by “IN THE RAIN,” a sweet ballad featuring smooth choreography that introduced some gorgeous R&B moves.
XG took another moment to interact with the fans, mentioning that although they performed recently at the Summertime Ball, it had been a while since they were in London for their own headline show.
After that short chat, XG continued their set with “TAKE MY BREATH,” which literally took our breath away—iconic! They kept the energy high with the fun “IYKYK” and the extra-playful “ROCK THE BOAT,” which featured lots of interaction and playtime with various props, including a retro cassette player at the start of the set that I found so fun.
XG changed the mood once again with “O.R.B (Obviously Read Books),” bringing a fun rock vibe where you could clearly see how much fun the members were having on stage. This playful segment wrapped up with “PS118” and the unit group’s amazing rap skills.
After another VCR video and a quick outfit change, the vocal unit got back on stage to showcase their incredible, powerful vocal control with the melodic “4 SEASONS.”
XG then reassembled for the viral, iconic (and low-key my ultra-favourite) “HYPNOTIZE,” which flowed into “Tippy Toes” via an amazing intro that had the whole venue vibing.
The main set was coming to a close with “NO GOOD” and the gorgeous ballad “IS THIS LOVE,” ending the primary set on a deeply heartfelt note.
Now, could a show end without an encore? Obviously not! Just before it kicked off, they played a teaser for the “NO GOOD” performance video that had fans going completely bananas.
The encore started with “SHOOTING STAR,” followed by a fun, interactive game where they played “say the word on beat,” reacting to pictures on screen and repeating them in rhythm. They then took the classic group photo on stage with the fans before finally closing the show with “MILLION PLACES,” “NEW DANCE,” and the ultimate anthem, “LEFT RIGHT.”
That marked the end of an unforgettable night.
I’ve been following XG’s journey since the beginning, and being able to attend this show in London truly left a remarkable impression on me. The way they effortlessly showcased their true talent on stage—singing live and executing complex choreography without missing a single beat—was genuinely impressive.
XG truly have the extraordinary genes in their DNA, and I can’t wait to see what this global sensation brings us next!
